The spot moves in circular motion, and its displacement, velocity, and acceleration are examined simultaneously.  It is pointed out that the acceleration vector leads the velocity vector by a quarter cycle (90 degrees); likewise, the velocity vector leads the displacement vector by a quarter cycle.  Also it is shown that the velocity does not depend on the size of the displacement, but only on how the displacement changes.
