THE PROCEDURE: The apparatus is on a large A-frame consists
of two pendulum fixed at the same point of support. One
pendulum is a rigid bar and the other is a simple pendulum
with a length 2/3 that of the rod. The two pendulums are set
in simultaneous motion: their periods are the
same.
