Fill about one-third of the rocket with water.
Lock the pump onto the orifice and complete the fueling with
15-20 strokes of the pump piston. With the rocket held
skyward, pull free the locking mechanism. The rush of
the water outward and downward drives the rocket some 300
feet or more into the air. If fired horizontally from
shoulder height, the rocket has a range of 100 feet or
more. In flight the rocket is mechanically
stable. It spins clockwise about its long axis.
The spin direction is governed by the tail-fin
orientation. The spin velocity may be altered by
changing the pitch of the tail fins.
